How we work
We help Japanese, European, Middle Eastern and African people and organisations build trust in each other using the model below:

Communication
We are the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Representative for Japan Intercultural Consulting – the leading global training and consulting firm focused on Japanese business. Our seminars on working and communicating effectively with Japanese and European/Middle Eastern/African colleagues, customers and counterparts can be adjusted according to your needs in terms of time and content, and delivered online or in person, or as e-learning.
Japan Intercultural Consulting has supported many Japanese companies and their subsidiaries globally through the post-merger integration process over the past 20 years.
Mutual interests
We publish research, articles and books on topics relevant to Japanese companies in EMEA and those who are interested in Japanese companies as investors, suppliers and employers. Pernille Rudlin regularly speaks on these topics for various events and has been interviewed in the media.
Our free monthly newsletter will update you on the latest news on the activities of Japanese companies in Europe and our latest research.
Processes and regulations
Our Japan Intercultural Consulting training covers the processes that are typical in a Japanese company, around decision making and communication.
We also provide training for Japanese managers based in EMEA on processes such as giving feedback and performance evaluations as well as regulations regarding diversity and discrimination in the workplace. We can provide HR consulting in the UK on HR processes around recruitment, retention and redundancy.
Reliability and Accountability
We provide training suitable for Japanese managers who fall under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime in the UK, to help them understand how concepts such as accountability, governance and leadership are practised in the UK. We also provide briefings for boards of Japan-owned companies.
Vision and Values
We have worked with several Japanese companies in a range of sectors over the past twenty years on refreshing and promoting their mission, vision and values and, more recently, helping them implement purpose discovery and activation in EMEA.
